Ride Horses

Miles of trails await those who believe the only way to see the Uwharries is on horseback. The Badin Lake Recreation Area has nearly 50 miles of horse trails and two horse camps. The Equestrian Trail System can be accessed from Canebrake Horse Camp or the Badin Lake Horse Camp. There are 32 miles of horse trails, ranging in difficulty from easy to more difficult.
Equestrians are encouraged to stay on the designated trails to help control soil erosion and stream sedimentation.
